Seven She watched as the sun sank over the western buildings, brandishing the surrounding sky and clouds a deep auburn as if the very atmosphere itself were alight. The wind blowing from the south brought with it faint scents of the agricultural lands beneath the great city. The sounds of dogs baying arose from the streets below, and with them came the usual chaotic assortment of sounds as people boarded up their homes and hideouts in preparation for the night to come.

She stood from her crouch and stretched her arms high above her head. Tonight was the night: the last ever evening she would spend within the city walls. Too long she'd dwelt here.

Below Zero The biting wind against his scales. The frozen snow beneath his claws. The flow of blood over his tongue, warm and comforting, lending him strength.

He tore off what little remained of the seal carcass and swallowed, grimacing as the thick, oily blubber slid unpleasantly down his throat. The mere feel of it caused an involuntary shudder to run all the way down Null's sinuous length. He scraped the top of his tongue repeatedly against the teeth lining his upper jaw in an attempt to rid himself of the taste.
