EDIT: Forgot to mention, yes I know the anatomy absolutely sucks, I kinda stopped caring after the sketch lol

Posting this here before I change anything else :T

Speedpaint that I started randomly on livestream the night before last :3
I say speedpaint, that dragon took freakin' ages cause I got carried away with detail >.> The background I decided to leave sketchy though cause I'm lazy and stuff.
(This isn't a scene from Veyis by the way, it's an Axis dragon which is something I'll probably explain some other time.)

Companion piece:

Art (C) GlacierDragon
Time: Sometime between 15-20 hours? I have no idea, it was meant to be a speedpaint but then I got distracted loads with livestream chat, food, brbing, generally being a slow git and other things so I'd say compressed it only took like half of that time or something lol (That's still a stupidly ridiculous amount of time for a speedpaint though orz)
Full Resolution: 2161x1477px.
Tools: Photoshop CS3, Wacom Intuos3 tablet.

Dude, if you say that your anatomy sucks one more time I swear I will smack you! This looks absolutely wonderful and epic and way more awesome than most of the stuff that you find up here. I particularly love the epic angle of this shot and the way you can see those two moons.

But, but, it is ;n; The foreshortening of the wing here is all messed up and everything looks wrong and blergh.
I'm glad you like it though XD This piece was fun to work on and I'm still really pleased with how the perspective turned out, gonna have to draw stuff like this more often :> Thanks!

Sure thing dude! You definitely should draw stuff like this more often. It's pretty . That said, I think it would be kind of cool to if you tried out some story-like drawings; kind of like one scene from a graphic novel, or a freeze-frame from a movie. It would work really well with your style!

How's your comic coming along, by the way? I can't wait to see it!

Sorry for the late reply! Got too many messages in my inbox and it got lost :C As with everything else in my inbox, actually.

I have considered messing around with movie-screenshot-style pictures before, but never seem to get round to doing anything XD They do look like fun to do though <:

AoV's still in pre-production at the moment, it's going to be a looooooooong time before any real pages appear because I want to get EVERYTHING sorted beforehand, and I also want to get my art up to the level of realism and quality that I can see everything being in my head. If you're interested in seeing some rough concepts and sketches and things in the meantime, though, then you can check out the tumblr blog (still a work in progress) if you like [link] C: Thanks for asking!

SADF TEWAFASDF Sorry for the even later re-reply (X_X). In any case, I totally know what you mean about wanting to get everything arranged before you start getting into the nitty-gritty of pages...which is probably why my comic is stalled at me trying to put something together and then throwing my hands up while shrieking "IT'S NOT PERFECT!!!!!" stage :XD:. But perfection does take practice, and I know what comics can do when they are crafted well, so I feel that there's no need to rush these things . I have been taking a look at your tumbler and find your sketches really impressive! I wish I had your art any case, keep going at it and keep us updated; I'm sure that the final product will be amazing!
